Mr. Zetler was an expert on tides, nearshore currents and tsunamis. He worked at the University of California Institute of Geophysics and Planetary Physics from 1972 to 1985. This accession consists of Zetler's correspondence, publications, reports, subject files, negatives, slides and glass lantern slides. The material consists of correspondence exchanges by Zetler with Walter D. Lambert, Harold Jeffreys and Robert Stonely. The correspondence with Harold Jeffreys is dated May 1956 to May, 1962 and discusses his work on the theory of diurnal earth tides.
